New homes that have sprung up almost overnight help provide better shelter as residents from Joe Slovo informal settlement in Langa not far from Cape Town, South Africa find a temporary home to live in. Actions speak louder than words here as local government acted & made an effort when a devastating fire raised a large portion of the township to the ground leaving more than 15000 residents without a home. Now the new suburb gives simple cheer in the fact that a roof again covers heads & communal taps provide water. Soon they hope to move to new homes that will be built for them but for now they find a place like this to rest & call home.
